NOTD: Eyeko Lilac Polish + Sinful Colors 'I Miss Yuo'

One (1) coat of Eyeko Lilac Polish & One (1) coat of Sinful Colors 'I Miss Yuo'

Eyeko Lilac Polish can be described as a creamy cool-toned pastel purple. I only used 1 coat of this color being I was putting the glittery coat on top. If I were to wear this polish by itself, I probably would have needed about 2 or 3 coats to get a good opacity. I used Sinful Colors 'I Miss Yuo' on top, which is a sheer jelly violet with little silver sparkles & larger holographic sparkles. I really love Sinful Colors nail polishes & you can't beat the quality or the price ($1.99)!

2 Eye Looks Using the Too Faced Eye Shadow Palette (Sephora 500 Point Perk)

I was really excited to play around with the Too Faced Eye Shadow Palette & Shadow Insurance I got from Sephora. I didn't want to do just the 2 eye shadow colors that came paired together for one of their "Eye Looks" so I did a mix of a few different ones to create my own. Here are 2 looks that I came up with:

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Lid: Satin Sheets
Crease: Push-Up
Outer Corner: Ever After
Heaven blended in between crease & highlight
Highlight: Satin Sheets
Liner: MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack - winged out
Ever After slightly smudged under bottom liner
E.L.F Natural Lashes
Bare Escentuals Flawless Definition Mascara

Brows:
MAC Brow Pencil in Spiked
MAC Brow Set in Clear

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Lid: Heaven
Inner Crease: Honeymoon
Outer Crease: Ever After
Outer Corner: Smolder
Heaven blended in between crease & highlight
Highlight: Satin Sheets
Liner: MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack - winged out
Honeymoon smudged under bottom liner
Benefit BADgal Mascara

Brows:
MAC Brow Pencil in Spiked
MAC Brow Set in Clear

Overall I was very happy with the texture & color payoff of these eye shadows (like I mentioned in my other post, the shimmery colors had better payoff than the matte ones). I would definitely consider purchasing more eye shadows from Too Faced in the future. Also, the Too Faced Shadow Insurance definitely worked wonders in keeping my eye shadow on all day!

Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hypershadow Fashion Collection

I was browsing around Sepohra about 2 weeks ago & found Tarina Tarantino eye shadows for only $10 each! They are from the Eye Dream Hypershadow Fashion Collection & originally cost $19 each. Of course I went a little crazy & purchased all 5 colors :) but how could I not for only $10 each?? Each eye shadow came in a matching colored pouch & there is a little mirror inside the eye shadow. Also, there is a unique picture on the cover of each eye shadow that corresponds with its name. Not to mention the eye shadows are super pigmented & the colors are gorgeous!! Candy Cameo is a sparkly bubblegum pink. Electric Butterfly is a sparkly orange. Bibarucci is a shimmery neutral gold. Tokyo Hardcore is a lime green with irridescent sparkle. Lastly, Victorian Punk is a a purple with gold sparkle.

All of these eye shadows are absolutely amazing & I would totally recommend them! If you are unable to find them in a Sephora store, they are also available on the Sephora website.

NOTD: Eyeko Pastel Polish + OPI Last Friday Night

Two (2) coats of Eyeko Pastel Polish & one (1) coat of OPI Last Friday Night

Eyeko Pastel Polish can be described as a light baby blue with a slight irridescent sheen. Of course I just checked the Eyeko website today & unfortunately they no longer sell this nail polish. They do have another color that is very similar to this one though that's called "Rain Polish." I actually own both of them & the difference between them is that Pastel Polish is slightly lighter with a more teal undertone & has an irridescent sheen, & Rain Polish looks bluer & has more a silver sheen.

On top of the Pastel Polish I used OPI's Last Friday Night from the Katy Perry collection. I absolutely love this color! I like how this nail polish has different size & color sparkles in it. You definitely need to put this nail polish over another one though, because by itself, you need at least 4 coats to get even the slightest opacity.
I'm definitely going through a huge glitter nail polish phaze at the moment! Do you like glitter nail polishes? What are some of your favorites?

Sephora 500 Point Perk - Too Faced Eye Shadow Palette & Shadow Insurance

Yayy! Sephora finally came out with a really good 500 Point Perk! I've been saving my points for the longest time & now I can finally use them on something good! I got the "Too Faced Exclusive Eye Shadow Collection" which has 8 eye shadows ("2 from each of their best-selling kits") & a mini Shadow Insurance.
The eye shdaow palette includes 8 eye shadows that create 4 different looks: The Natural Eye, The Smokey Eye, The Naked Eye & The Romantic Eye. Each look also gives you a little "how-to" to help guide you on which color to place where in order to achieve that look. The Natural Eye includes Heaven (matte ivory) & Push-Up (light bronze shimmer). The Smokey Eye includes Silver Spoon (Silver Shimmer) & Smolder (matte black). The Naked Eye includes Satin Sheets (golden champagne shimmer) & Like A Virgin (matte taupe). Although Satin Sheets appears like a light shimmery pink in the palette, it applies more like a light shimmery yellow-gold. Lastly, The Romantic Eye includes Honeymoon (burnished gold shimmer) & Ever After (bronze shimmer). All of the eye shadows are very smooth & easy to blend, but the shimmer eye shadows are much more pigmented than the matte ones. The matte eye shadows are still very pretty though, you just have to pack on the color a little bit more. The swatches below show one swipe of each eye shadow & go in order according to each look.

I was also really excited to try the Shadow Insurance. I've always sworn by MAC Paint Pots (usually in Soft Ochre) as my eye shadow primer, but I still like to try new things. I've tried the Urban Decay Primer Potion quite a few times but was never a fan of it, because I feel like my eye shadow still creases after about 5 hours. I tested out the Too Faced Shadow Insurance & I was very happy with it! I applied it with my finger & it glided on nice & smoothly. It also kept my eye shadow looking great all day! This is definitely an eye shadow primer that I would recommend!
If you happen to have 500 points in your Beauty Bank & are able to get your hands on this, I would definitely recommend getting it! This is an awesome value with quality eye shadows & an eye shadow base! Thank you Sephora! :)

OPI Silver Shatter Nail Polish

I'm finally done with school, so this summer I will definitely be making up for lost time with lots of posts, I promise! I recently bought the new OPI Silver Shatter nail polish from their new Pirates of the Caribbean collection. I love the Black Shatter so I figured I'd try the silver one too. If you have the OPI Black Shatter, the formula & the way it cracks is pretty much the same. For those of you who aren't familiar with the shatter nail polishes, you apply the shatter polish (a nice even layer, not too thick, not too thin) on top of another color nail polish after it's dry. Then you finish with a clear top coat. If you don't put a clear top coat on after, the shatter color may appear dull & matte looking. I usually use Sally Hansen Super Shiny Top Coat.
I noticed with the Silver Shatter nail polish, it looks better if you use a darker color underneath. If you use a lighter color underneath, it just looks like you put a coat of silver glitter polish on top & it's a little hard to see that it's shattered. Last week, I used the Silver Shatter polish on top of OPI Gargantuan Green Grape. Since it's a lighter green it was a little difficult to see that it was the Silver Shatter polish on top & not just a silver glitter coat (it looks good in the picture, but in person it's a little harder to tell). Yesterday I re-painted my nails but I used Eyeko Punk Polish underneath the Silver Shatter polish & it was much more noticeable! Overall, I'm very happy with the OPI Silver Shatter nail polish & would definitely recommend it!
Have you bought or tried the new OPI Silver Shatter yet? What do you think about it? Let me know in the comments below! :)

Sally Hansen HD Hi-Definition Nail Color - Byte

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Yesterday I went to CVS since I had a 20% of total purchase coupon. I didn't really need or buy much, but I did pick up one of the Sally Hansen HD Hi-Definition Nail Colors in "Byte." It's an iridescent fuchsia with tiny light blue & pink shimmers. I wouldn't say they're sparkles, because it's very smooth (not chunky) on my nail. On the plus side, it dried relatively quick, but it took about 4 coats to get the opacity I like. It claims you only need 2-3 on the bottle but it still looked pretty sheer to me after 3. I even put a 5th coat on this morning & it looks even better.

This nail polish came with a Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat. I didn't use it, because I prefer a shiny top coat rather than a strengthening one, especially when I use shimmery nail polishes. Maybe when I paint my nails again I'll do a review on this base & top coat.

The Sally Hansen website describes the HD Hi-Definition Nail Color as "pure, vivid pigments with multi-dimensional color & vibrancy; dazzling, lustrous, high-definition color; available in 16 luminous shades; Toluene, DBP, and Formaldehyde free."
